Temporary Payroll Clerk / Assistant (From 29th March for 3 months)Job Purpose: To undertake the weekly payroll for a specific number of store and warehouse staff using payroll system. Our increasing range of product introductions in Babies R Us, Teentronics, Multimedia and Universe of Imagination add further dimensions to our unique customer proposition.Main Responsibilities:Ensure accurate and timely payment of weekly payroll for warehouse and stores using CMG Payroll 2000 payroll systemComplete enquiry forms from Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs, Benefits Agency and other organisationsAssist with reconciliation of tax year-end for payrolls and completion of returns to Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. Ensuring that all information is accurate and timelyAssist with completion of accounting month end reconciliationsAssist with auditing payroll/employee database on a regular basis to maintain accuracy. Highlighting any anomalies to the Assistant Payroll Manager where applicable and resolving them as appropriateAssist in completing all Sarbanes Oxley related tasksAssist stores/warehouse with Time and Attendance system and other payroll related queriesAssist with covering the department in the absence of the other Payroll Assistant and Assistant Payroll SupervisorAny other payroll/information related tasks as requiredComplete any reasonable adhoc task as required.Skills:1. Good attention to detail.  2. Strong communication skills.  3. Ability to self motivate.  4. Effective time management and prioritisation skills.  5. Good telephone manner.  6. An ability to work with figures.  7. Previous experience of working with CMG 2000 payroll system. 8. Good customer service. 9.   • Assist with reconciliation of tax year-end for payrolls and completion of returns to Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs. Ensuring that all information is accurate and timely
  • Assist with completion of accounting month end reconciliations
  • Assist with auditing payroll/employee database on a regular basis to maintain accuracy. Highlighting any anomalies to the Assistant Payroll Manager where applicable and resolving them as appropriate
