Large Computer Services organisation is looking for a Payroll Assistant on a Part-Time basis to cover for maternity Leave to start on 4th January 2010, this will enable a handover of one month. The hours are 9am to 3pm, 5 days per week, with a possibility of working a few extra hours if required you must be flexible.You must have 3-4 years recent payroll experience (60%), preferably with ADP and be able to confidently run a UK payroll.  There is also electronic expense processing (30%) and some accounts (10%) as part of this role.  We also required a more in-depth knowledge of a manual payroll (e.g. tax, NIC), so you would need to demonstrate their understanding of this at interview Main Purpose of JobDay to day running of the UK payrolls and processing the US, UK and Canadian employees expenses ResponsibilitiesCollating all UK payroll related information, calculate and input onto the payrollAssist the Payroll Manager with all payroll queries and distribute pay-slipsAssist the Payroll Manager with UK statutory year end returnsEnsure prompt and accurate processing of UK, US and Canada expensesEnsure all expense claims have supporting receipts and regularly follow up those not receivedResponsible for scanning and maintaining online storage of UK expense formsProduce UK payroll related journals within the deadlinesReconcile the UK payrollbalance sheet accountsReconcile all offices expense balance sheet accountsPrepare Groups headcount on a monthly basisAssist the Payroll Manager, when required, with the processing of other payrollsTo assist the Payroll Manager with other duties as and when required Principal Assessment CriteriaCustomer SatisfactionDemonstration of high quality technical ability/competence/productivityCompletion of work on schedule, within budget and achievement of planned marginsDevelopment and maintenance of good relationships with clientsDevelops and Maintains awareness of companyPortfolioCommunication and Interpersonal skillsAbility to work well in team environment under supervision and willingness to assist othersMaintain a high level of utilisationBe cost conscious and aware of personal contribution to company profitabilityLevel of self-motivation and initiativeProactive personal developmentProfessional attitude and projection of professional company image Experience Required3-4 years plus payroll experienceExpenses processing Forma
