Large Computer Services organisation is looking for a Payroll Assistant on a Part-Time basis to cover for maternity Leave to start on 4th January 2010, this will enable a handover of one month.
The hours are 9am to 3pm, 5 days per week, with a possibility of working a few extra hours if required you must be flexible.
You must have 3-4 years recent payroll experience (60%), preferably with ADP and be able to confidently run a UK payroll. There is also electronic expense processing (30%) and some accounts (10%) as part of this role. We also required a more in-depth knowledge of a manual payroll (e.g. tax, NIC), so you would need to demonstrate their understanding of this at interview
Main Purpose of Job
Day to day running of the UK payrolls and processing the US, UK and Canadian employees expenses
Responsibilities
Collating all UK payroll related information,
calculate and input onto the payroll
Assist the Payroll Manager with all payroll
queries and distribute pay-slips
Assist the Payroll Manager with UK statutory
year end returns
Ensure prompt and accurate processing of
UK, US and Canada expenses
Ensure all expense claims have supporting
receipts and regularly follow up those not
received
Responsible for scanning and maintaining
online storage of UK expense forms
Produce UK payroll related journals within the
deadlines
Reconcile the UK payroll
balance sheet accounts
Reconcile all offices expense balance
sheet accounts
Prepare Groups headcount on a monthly
basis
Assist the Payroll Manager, when required,
with the processing of other payrolls
To assist the Payroll Manager with other duties as
