An opportunity has arisen to join NGA Human Resources in the position of Apprentice Training Officer. This highly visible role is working on site at one of NGA's largest clients in Luton. We are looking for an organised and experienced individual with the relevant qualifications as well as a drive and ambition to achieve in this strategic position for our client. Overall job purpose: To support the provision of the Modern Apprenticeship Programmes To manage and maintain learner data and records To assess learner performance against relevant frameworks and standards To personally line manage Apprentices for the duration of their programme To be the site focal point and day-to-day contact for all Apprentice-related issues and enquiries To fully understand the client’s business, dynamics and needs and proactively recommend appropriate and relevant NGA solutions Develop a learning culture and environment that supports development of Apprentices’ skills, knowledge and careers Co-ordinate all Apprentice placement plans, ensuring Apprenticeships are of the highest quality and that all Apprentices receive appropriate training and support Monitor, control, assess, evaluate and verify competencies and learner performance against recognised awarding body/regulatory standards Work closely with FE Colleges and other third party providers to co-ordinate college assessment and monitor Apprentice attendance, progress and performance Manage and maintain learner data and track progress Provide line management for the Apprentices for the duration for their programme, including undertaking 12-weekly reviews and managing disciplinary/capability situations Personally provide coaching and development on a one-to-one basis Support self-assessment, quality audits and evaluation activities as required Ensure all regulatory requirements are met (e.g. SFA, SEMTA, OCR and EAL) and that all documentation and record keeping meets the required standards. Support Apprentice recruitment by attending recruitment activities and events and undertaking candidate assessment and interviews Plan, organise and facilitate the Apprentice induction programme Support enrichment activities, Apprentice-related events and awards Develop and maintain close relationships and effective communication with the client, understanding their requirements and responding to their needs Occasional visits to other sites as and when needed Qualifications and work experience: Essential Previous experience of Apprentice programme delivery NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Learning and Development or equivalent A1 Assessor qualifications award or D Units (D32, D33) Experience in the design and delivery of training programmes Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements Good level of IT literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email Good written and verbal communication skills Desirable V1 Verifier qualifications (D34) Understanding of Centre Approval processes and SFA/Ofsted contractual requirements At NGA Human Resources, we provide you with the advantage of a truly global business environment and the opportunities of a fast-paced, agile and growing organization.
